Assignment >
As webmaster of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Russia, I was charged with a complete graphic and functional redesign of their antiquated intranet site. The Results > This homepage represented a big leap forward for the Embassy. I worked with the red, white and blue branding model that is traditional to the State Department, but made the site special to Moscow. The previous jumble of links were reorganized thematically, and graphically represented with icons that stayed consistent throughout the new site. News and the latest management notices, in a searchable format, were added. And a dominant Russia-themed photo was added. This photo changed with each new visit to the site, giving the site a constantly fresh and dynamic look. Screen shots are used with the permission of the Moscow computer security officer.
