Assignment >
This was a cover story about a variety of redevelopment plans throughout Washington D.C. Because all of the projects were in the planning stages, we had no photography to use. And no single project ranked as most important. Several needed to be represented. The Results > I divided the magazine's cover into a grid and incorporated architectural renderings of the featured projects. The grid imparts a feeling of building blocks and a sense of architecture. And the carefully chosen and positioned snippets of artwork represent the broad scope of the story while leaving the reader wanting more on the inside.
